With all of this information on the Sharp family, surely someone would know about a JANE SHARP. As far as we know, she was born in Tennessee (or near the KY border)--we believe in Campbell Co, TN. Her birth date was 25 January 1817. At age 12 (yes, you read that right) she married George Rains. They were married in about 1829, also in Tennessee. Before moving to MO in about 1835, at least two children were born-- James Alfred, Eliza Ann & maybe Martha and Thomas J. They moved to Bates County, MO, and eventually they had 15 children. I am anxious to figure out who her parents were. I know there were lots of Sharps in the Campbell and Union Counties in TN, just have no clue where she fits in!
