I have never seen so many responses to a family as to the SHARPS; however, I also have not seen any that apply to MY Sharps. My line is: Jacob Sharp married Nancy Hunter of Bertie or Hertford Co., NC, probably late 1700's. Their son, Col. Elisha Hunter Sharp married Martha Williams Battle 12/10/1837 in Lowndes Co. MISS. Their son, William Battle Sharp (Fort) married Sallie Bouldin Collier 1/2/1865 and their son (my grandfather), Hugh Franklin Fort, married Mary Ada Fulcher Wasson. If anyone else is in this line, I would love to hear.
