I agree with you all. I have never in over 30 years of research found so many queries concerning a surname as the number for the various Sharp Lines. This causes me to add my Penna. Line once again. I have Joseph Sharp of the old Westmoreland Co., Pa. born 1780, married Anna Neely of same County. Anna's father was Samuel Neely (But...we have 2/3 Samuel Neelys in place at that date). Family legend suggests that Joseph's Father could have been Nehemiah Sharp and Grandfather: Edward Sharp. It is also noted that this part of Penna. (southwestern Pa.) was in contest between Virginia and Penna. until after the RW. So...it is always possible that this Sharp line came up from Virginia. Any help will be appreciated. Harry Sharp
