    3. Hello, List. Please let me post my Sharp delimna once more. Hiram Sharp (or Lessix) was born in MD (or Del.) 16 Nov. 1787. A correspondent says his name was originally Lessix. His mother, Mary Sharp, with two brothers, moved to Agusta, GA. shortly after 1800. Hiram's father was not present. Hiram took (his mother's) name, "Sharp" and continued to use it to his death. Meanwhile, Hiram married Sarah Ann Owen (prehaps in Morgan Co., GA). They moved to Carroll CO., GA, which was just formed, in 1827. They lived near Temple, GA, where a new elementary school has been built on Hiram's old land. The couple had a number of children, among them, my great grandmother, Elizabeth Sharp (B. 25 Oct. 1822), who married William Williams, and lived and is buried near Villa Rica, GA. I still do not have firm facts on Hiram's father (Lessix?). Could he have been a French soldier, sent over to fight the Brittish, then sent home about 1786 or '87? Were he and Mary actually married? What was his first name? Where was he from? Who were his and, for that matter, Mary's, father and mother, ancestors? If anyone can help me with this puzzle, I would be most grateful. Bill.
