Hi, I am looking for some information on the above family. I have collected some info from Birth/marraige certificates,some from IGI and some from 1881 census. William Sharp b.1834married Margaret Keay 23rd Oct.1857,Montrose.Margaret would have been born in 1835. Children:- William Williamson Sharp b.26th Feb.1860(not listed on 1881 Census) Margaret Wells Sharp b.21st Oct.1861(employed as a domestic servant in Forfar.Margaret married Daniel McKinnon of Tiree on 5th Jan.1886 in Montrose.1 child Euphemia McArthur McKinnon) Mary Ann Sharp b.14 Dec 1863. Jessie Williamson Sharp b.8th Jan 1866(IGI records on Census Jannet Sharp.) Elizabeth Petrie Sharp b.25th Oct 1869(IGI records on Census she is only 6) Williamina Sharp b.30th Jul.1873 Charlotte Sharp b.1877 David Sharp b.1879 James Sharp b.1880 William Sharp was a seaman(unemployed at 1881 census time).Family lore says that he went missing for a number of years on the Amazon River while a Captain when I am not sure as the newspaper cutting has disappeared. On checking IGI I also think I may have found his father and mother:- John Sharp and Mary Williamson married 8th Feb.1829 They had 7 offspring that were listed (all with similar names to my William Sharp.) William Williamson Sharp b.11th Oct.1834 was one of their offspring.Could this be the right tree I'm looking at?Can anyone out there help?
