Following obit. is from the 24 April 2000 edition of the Abilene Reflector Chronicle, page 8: William "Bill" Sharp Riley, KS---William "Bill" Myers Sharp, 70, Riley, died Saturday April 22, 200, a5t St. Francis Via Christis Hospital, Wichita, KS. He was born 22 Jully 1929 at the Myers farm in the Myersdale community near Wakefield, KS, the son of Ed Sharp and Louise Myers. He was married to Norma E. Stillwagon on 08 April 1961 at Industry, KS. Mr. Sharp was a farmer and a carpenter. He was a member of the Leonardville United Methodist Church, a life member of the Kaw Valley Rodeo Association, the Riley County Livestock Association, the Blue Vallye Pork Producers Association, the Riley County Young Farmers and had been a 4-H leader for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Norma, of the home; two daughters, Kimberly Simon of Eudora and Carrie Sharp of Scurry, TX; two brothers, the Rev. Wayne Sharp of El Dorado, KS and Maurice Sharp of Wakefield, KS; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, David L. Sharp on 08 Oct 1995. Funeral services will be at 1330 hrs, Wed., 26 April 2000 at the Leonardville United Methodist Church, Leonardville, KS, with the Rev Vera Willams, the Rev. Gerry Sharp, and the Rev. Kevin Larson officiating. Burial will be in Timber Creek Cemetery, east of Wakefield.
