    3. Reference: BGeneMorri "Madison Co., AL Marriages" Add: SHARP,Jane married FIELDS,Moses 10-09-1814 in Madison Co., Miss.Terr (later AL) Moses and Jane later moved to Jefferson Co., AL. This Jane Sharp (1795-1878) was daughter of my ggg grandparents, John Sharp (abt, 1765-abt,1855) and Jane Seawright (believed dau. of Andrew Seawright Jr.) of Abbeville Co., SC. John was son of Henry Sharp son of Edward Sharp (b. in Northern Ireland; later of Lancaster Co., PA); John SHARP also had: Elizabeth (m.Starling Jackson), Edward Gray (m. Leticia Fields), John Johnston (m.Elizabeth Anders), and probably one other daughter.) John Sharp and Andrew Seawright are both shown as property owners in 1810 Madison Co. However, there was another John Sharp (1755-1817) who m. Martha Young and had 10 children and purchased land in Madison Co., Miss. Terr. around 1800. This John Sharp, ancestor of BGeneMorri, may be the one shown as a property owner in Madison Co. in 1810. Interestingly, it is said that this John Sharp was grandson of James Sharp of Lancaster, PA. So, since. my Sharps, landed in Madison Co. by 1810, but moved to Jefferson Co. later, I'm thinking my John maybe went to Madison Co. because he knew of a distant cousin there. Can anyone shed any light on a possible relationship between these two John Sharps? >From the published maps, present day Madison Co., AL appears to encompass pretty much the same area as Msdison Co., Miss.Terr. Thtais, counties such as Jefferson Co. to the south do not appear to ahve ever been a part of Madison Co., Miss.Terr. Regards, Theron Smith.
