The dates and places don't seem to match what we know of the Abbeville Co., SC SHARPS. William Sharp (1787-1844) son of Edward Sharp and Mary Gray, spent his entire life in Abbeville. Also too young to be father of your John F. Had son John R. b 1818. William Sharp (b. 1795) in adjoining Laurens Co., son of Isaac Sharp and Elizabeth Ross, did have son named John, but much too young to be yours. There was a William S. in 1800 Union Co., SC(22011-30010-03) There was a William S in 1790 Chester Co., SC. (1 male, 16 or over; living alone.
