In the 1840 census, there is a Peter Sharp living adjacent to William and they may have been brothers, tho I'm not sure. William married Louisiana Boord in Edgar County, Ill. in July 1839. Their children were: Mary Ann Sharp, b. 1842, married Levi L. Sherman in Christian County, Ill. 1862 William Clay Sharp, b. 1845, married Elizabeth Sherman in Decatur, Macon County, Ill. in 1866 (Louisiana had family there also married into the Sherman family). Orlando C. Sharp, b. 1848, married Clara E. Woodward in Adams County, Ill. in 1874 Virginia B. Sharp, b. 1850, married 1st) William Clink, 1867, Mt. Auburn, Ill. Married 2nd) M.A. Eams, Cherokee, Ks. 1896 Marie M. Sharp, b. 1852 M.J. Sharp, b. 1852, m. Emma? Muriah Jane Sharp, b. 1855 Lucinda Sharp, b. 1858 Dolly Sharp, b. 1860 George Sharp, b. 1862 In the 1880 census Louisiana is enumerated in Wellington, Summer County, Kansas. Listed as a widow, she was living with M.J. and his family. The oldest child, Minnie, was aged five and listed as born in Kansas, so they had been there since at least 1875.Virginia (Jennie) and her family moved to Reno County, Kansas. in 1873. Elisabeth
