Hi Ruth, I have a major brick wall with my Sharps too. Mine are from Scott, Co. TN. My ggrandfather was Hence Sharp, born about 1875. He may also be E.H. Sharp. I've seen him as an adult,listed as Hence. He was married to Arminda Stephens. I have found a Henderson Sharp as a little boy living with his mother and step father in Scott Co. in 1880, but have no idea if that is him. Henderson's mothers name was Martha Sharp (whether that is maiden, I don't know), and his step father was David Mixon. I can find no reference to her, so far, in Scott County. I would love to find someone that knows something about this family.
