I believe the Sharps in Knox and Claiborne were of German descent and are the ancestors of my husband. They were from Germany then to PA and to VA. The Thomas Sharp in Frederick Co. VA was I believe an ancestor of my husband, these Sharps were English descent and were Quakers. His daughter Elizabeth married a Nation who can only be Christopher Nation. The other sharps from Knox and Claiborne Co and Union Co. married into the Gibbs, Loys, Albrights, Graves and off hand I can't name anymore families. William was known as Station Bill and I think the brother of or son of Henry Sharp. These Sharps built Sharps Fort along the Clinch River I think, I haven't been into the Sharp Genealogy for sometime. If it would help you I can look them up again to be sure. Henry Sharp married Barbara Graves, their daughter Catherine married Tobias Tillman and their daughter Margaret married Isaac Nation. A bunch of these Sharps went to Preble Co., Ohio. You can find a lot on these Sharps by going to Union Co., TN.
