Sharp b. abt 1822 The Sharp family settled about 1832 in Maury Co., TN an area known as Sharp's Corners, a community located between Bear Creek Pike and Carpenter's Bridge. Carpenter's Bridge is a bridge built in 1904 across Duck River between the area known as Jones Bend or "tugas" and Sharp's Corner. It was named for T.B. Carpenter, prominent near-by resident. William Roberds Sharp, SR. was one of the signers of petition to form Maury County, presented to the General Assembly of Tennessee August 1807.
