FRANCIS MARION SHARP was born 7 NOV. 1831 in MERIWEATHER, GA. He married Martha Davis Porter, a widow, while he was in the Louisiana CSA. He came to TX with his brother, Moses, soon after Francis was released from POW prison in New Orleans. He raised his family in Houston Co TX (Latexo) and is buried in Crockett, Houston Co TX.
