    3. Bill: We have him & family from early 1850's on.Our true problem is John's birth area & parents.None of the documents we have found gives us a traceable birth location. One lists his father as John Sharp.A variety of birth locations on the various documents(Vermont;New York,Ct. & Holland). Most of those from others furnishing that information, like his kids, etc.Myself & others have been searching above locations for years, finding no documentation.Census records,at times seem to give clues, but not proveable as yet.Sebveral family members researching him for almost 15 years. Still a brick wall.Lots of travel and research but no positive results. Thanks for your response. Charles A. 3. Hi Charlie, What does John show on the census for his birthplace? What about his children? On 1880 census, what does he show for his parents' birthplace? This would help, but if you could provide me with the location and page number for these census records that would be even better. This will give me the info to help you with this riddle.
