    3. Charlie, Here is what I have. Andrew Sharp (b 1790) married Hannah Stedman in 1813. It appears that they were living with her father William Stedman ((mother Mary Pierce) Wm's second marriage) in the census of 1820 in Bennington, Genesee Co., NY. In 1830 Andrew and Hannah had a home of their own and by that time had at least five children. An adult male was living with them and neighbors were Stedman's and Latson's who also were neighbors in Michigan. In 1837 when Andrew Sharp was in his 50's, he moved part of his family to Genoa Twp, Livingston Co., MI. On his death record, the names of Richard and Leah as his parents were listed as living in New York. Andrew and Hannah were thought to have 14 children: Mary Polly Sharp (1815-1852) Lovina Sharp (1821-1899) Fanny J Sharp Sarah Sharp Andrew Sharp Jr. (1826-1915) William Stedman Sharp (1828-1916) Keziah Rosena Sharp (1830-1894) Jonathan S Sharp (1832-1864) Richard Sharp (1835-1864) Siovica (Louisa) Sharp (1839-1930) Lavissa Sharp (1839-1930) Josiah (Desire) Sharp (1842-1922 Hannah Sharp (not confirmed) Andrew Sr. and Hannah share a tombstone in Chilson Cemetery, Livingston Co., MI, which I have seen. Listed on it are their children Sarah, Mary P., Fanny J, Jonathan, and Richard. So these children died before Andrew did in 1869. I have found two references of a Richard and Leah Sharp, which I cannot confirm as being the same family. The first was a IGI record search of the two names which turned up a Richard and Lea Sharp who had two children Andreas Sharpp and Maria Sharppe listed as a christening record 7 Apr 1793 at Reformed Protestant Dutch Church, German Flatts Twp., Herkimer, New York. The second was a birth record of Josiah Sharp to a Richard and Leah Sharp in 27 Jun 1797 in Fredericksburg Twp., Lennox, Ontario, Canada. The web site is http://www.sfredheritage.on.ca/ . As I stated, I have not been able to confirm if this is the same family. If you need any more information, let me know. I am at a standstill. Cheers... As for the middle initial L for your Betsey & E for ours,we know that writings of old took many forms. It might be possible that the L you have listed might have been a misinterpretation or our E might have been, early on and just followed through from there. Do you have a location in New York for your Andrew Sharp? It might be worth my while to try that area.If you do not have a town or area in New York,I can start with Andrew's parents & see where it leads us.Ages are right to be a possibility.
