You are right that John and Anne did not go to TN but at least four of their children did: Letitia, who married Robert Sharp in Virginia, came to Blount County, TN. John, Jr., also came to Bount Co.--he is also the one who fought in the Battle of Lookout Mountain--I have a long biography on him written by his son. Margaret, married James Wear came to Blount Co. Frances, married William Porter also lived in Blount Co.
