The same holds true for all of the Halberts "Surname" books. These books are just another way to separate you from your money. I have a Sarah Sharp in my ancestry. She was born in NY to Andrew Sharp and Hannah Stedman who moved to Genoa Twp., Livingston Co., MI in 1837. This might not be the same Sarah because she was one of the children listed on their tombstone in Chilson Cemetery, MI. Andrew died in 1869 and Hannah died in 1879. -----Original Message----- From: BDean70020@aol.com [mailto:BDean70020@aol.com] Sent: Tuesday, April 30, 2002 7:12 PM To: SHARP-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [SHARP-L] Sarsh Ann Sharp--NY>MI I am seeking information about the parents of Sarah Ann Sharp, b. abt. 1811 in New York. Does anyone have a copy of "The World Book of Sharps", produced by Ruth Sharp? My family used to get a notice in the mail, to order a copy, and never followed through.
I am interested in the NANCY SHARP. Is she related to Francis Marion or Wm. What are the dates for the NC and TN connections and is this anywhere around the Holston Rivier. I'm trying to track my ancester (William Sharp) who went to the Holston River area prior to 1782. I can not find out who his parents are. I know he went to the Holston from Baltimore, MD. Beyond that I'm struck. Respectfully, Scott Sharp

You can find Coonrad or Conrad and his ancestry in the book, " Know Your Sharp Relatives" by Genevieve Peters. She wrote two books, one In 1953 or 4 and one In 1973. John Sharp, Patriot was my ancester and this was, I think his son or grandson. One of her books can be found at the Fort Wayne IN Library. I belong to DAR through John Sharp. marabellereason@aol.com

Hello List Admin and Members, I would just like to take the time to THANK all of you for your wonderful post. Weather good or bad, all of your opinions count to me. I am sorry for any inconvenience to any of you. I have a handful of folks telling me about a gibberish problem, but after careful checking , and talking to AOL- live, I am informed that it is not on my end. And it seems to be with the DIGEST portion of the posting??? I am merely a geneologist with info that has not yet reached the web, and my intention was to get it to all of you in FREE GENEOLOGY. My intention was also to get it into the ROOTSWEB archives. Rootsweb has been a tool for geneologist , that allows us to share and have the means to connect our family's freely. I owe them alot. And I also owe every poster who has taken time to post. I want you all to know that I plan on answering each and every post that was sent to me, asking me questions and all of that sort of stuff. I exspecially want to thank all of you LIST ADMINISTRATORS for allowing the info to reach the Rootsweb archives. It will be there for generations to come. There is so much more coming out of Washington DC about the FREEDMEN. It has been long overdue. I remember back before Ex President Clinton left office and he made the statement that the FREEDMEN RECORDS needed to be indexed and taken care of. Well as a young Freedmen researcher, I have had some of the best folks to work with from Washingtion . I have been told that there is much more to come, at a later date. So I will leave you with this question. Do I continue to post to free geneology so that your children will have the records? Isn't Rootsweb for the purpose of free geneology? Is it worth a few DIGEST in gibberish to have it in your archives? Last but not least, my work on your list at this time is complete, so I will be moving on. I thank you all for your patience .
