    2. I too have an ancestor who was born on the Atlantic. His father had died on the voyage and we have listed his place of birth Atlantic Ocean and his father's place of death as Atlantic Ocean. We don't know what the name of the ship was other than it came into Charleston S.C. in 1789. This was a Craig relation. Not in my Sharp line. Am sending this to all four lists so I can get a "scientific" answer to my question. I have some ancestors who departed Ireland, headed for the colonies. I believe his middle name to be Albert or at least I think that the name he went by started with an A. I dont think he used Matthew till his older age. He left Va. some of his stopped in Tenn. I think around Anderson county Tenn. Then he or his family came to SC just across the river from Burke county Ga. Then to Burke, then to Baldwin then finally settling in Stewart county Ga where he died a old man. His wife was named Elizabeth. Her maiden name I think to be Easley, for they named their first son Easley. He had one son Francis J Sharp and I believe a brother Fielding Sharp living in Muscogee county Ga. Francis J died before 1830 and Fielding moved to Stewart county where Matthew , Easley were living. Francis J I think was involved in the slave trade and was in Montgomery Al. a lot and may have married a girl from there around 1820. I would appreciate any help any one can give on this brickwall. 3. While doing volunteer data entry at our local library in Ontario, California, I came across this article, which might be of some interest to someone on this list. Nancy Giles Celebrate Silver Wedding At Dinner Mr and Mrs. J. W. Sharp Honored At Affair Honoring Mr and Mrs. J. W. Sharp of 818 Elna street on the occasion of their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, their son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs. H. C. Billings, entertained at dinner Saturday evening (16 Nov) at their home, 545 East A street. Silver motif was carried out successfully in all the table appointments for the occasion. The centerpiece as well as the table service was designed in silver and comprised a miniature bride and groom standing on a silver pedestal under an arch of silver ribbon. On the ribbon the number "25" was significant of the occasion. Mixed flowers in autumn colors added to the other rooms of the home. Following the dinner the evening was spent socially. Included in the guests were Mr and Mrs. W. MacIntosh, recently of Lewiston, Ida., and Mr and Mrs. W. H. Lillibridge of Pomona, who have been friends of the Sharps for many years. Other guests included Mr and Mrs. W. E. Billings, Miss Winifred MacIntosh, George MacIntosh, Merlin MacIntosh. Besides Mrs. H. C. Billings, there are four other children of the Sharp's, all of whom were present at the affair Saturday evening. They are Miss Olive Sharp, James Sharp, Joe Sharp, of Los Angeles and Harold Sharp.
