I have extensive family history of George Hackett but I can not learn who the parents of Nancy are. Therefore this Sharp branch is the end of that tree in my records. 3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Jacob ORTH which was taken at the Eppert & Son Studio in Terre Haute, IN sometime in the 1880's or early 1900's. Jacob appears to be in his 40's or 50's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Jacob and his family: Jacob Stern ORTH was b. 1 May 1843 in Warren Co., OH to parents Lewis ORTH (b. 1803 in Baden Wurttenburg, Germany-d. 1877) and Mary Catherine STAMM (b. 1819 in Bayern, Germany- d. 1880). Jacob married Lucy Ellen WITHAM or WITHERN (1845-1920) and together they had three children including, Frank Lewis; Frederick Jacob; and Charles Wilbur ORTH, all born between 1874 and 1880. Jacob died 5 Feb 1908 in Indianapolis, IN or Otter Creek, IN and he is buried in the Highland Lawn Cemetery in Terre Haute, IN. 3. Hello cousin! My line also lived in Roxbury at one point. I am attaching a report on my ancestor from Germany. I have not done much research in NJ as of yet. Am planning a ride over there in the fall as I have several family lines coming from that state. I would be very interested in seeing how our lines connect. Being in the same geographical area, I am sure there is a link. My line eventually moved to Ohio where they lived out their lives. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Howard Ray Lawrence" <howardraylawrence@gmail.com> To: "sharp" <sharp@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, August 19, 2017 12:23:14 PM Subject: Re: [SHARP] SHARP Digest, Vol 12, Issue 4 Hello Patti: Thank you for asking. Elijah was born about 1840, lived in Centre County, PA, and served in the Civil War. Death may have been about 1905. Delilah, about the same age, married in Ohio County, West Virginia (Wheeling area), and had 5 or 6 children before she seemingly drops from view and my efforts to find her. Delilah may have been sister to Sophie who married Elijah's brother William Sharp.
