His LastWill and Testament, dated 4 April 1737, is recorded on page 26 of Will Book A1, Lancaster County. Of the children born to him and his wife, Agnes(spelled Eigness), was a son, John. This John SHANNON married Sarah REID, a daughter of John and "Lady" Jane (nee STEWART) REID of Delaware. "Born 1699 Delware, Of the Royal Stuart Stewart line inserted by me not metioned in the will but in 2 other reference of the period. Died 1752 buried Lancaster Co. Penn."
