Dear Sue: I have been trying to make the connection between my Shannon's and the homeland of Ireland or Scotland. My great-great-grandfather Robert Shannon Sr. married a Maria Lowe. Our clan settled in Grenville, Quebec, Canada in either the late 1790s or early 1800s. They eventually migrated down into Michigan. I don't know if Robert Sr. had siblings or what, but I found a note from my grandpa dated 1961 that mentioned Robert shot a revenue agent in Ireland and their clan were cronies of Daniel O'Connell. Do you have anything coincidental to this information? I'm eager to hear from you and I'll share what little I have it it's the same family. Sincerely, Kevin O'Brien Laguna Hills, CA Researching: Perkins, Warner Shannon, Lowe Gillie, des Riviere, Sundell, Dorchester Adams, Pinkerton Van Schaick [Chancy Smith & Fam.
