Lucy, Since I began my quest, I have discovered that my George M Shannon born Aug 15, 1832 married maybe twice...a Mary from KY, and Sarah C. Adams from IN. I found copies of their marriage license and burial sites for them and David Armstrong and Nancy Alexander his parents. Also have a copy of a will of David Armstrong. That's as far as I've gotten. Also found in same family cemetery, Charles Shannon1869-1922 (could this be another son of George M) and a Virgil R. Shannon 1906 - 1928. But tell me about Shannondale, which Shannon was it named for. Is it our group. What did they do for a living? I can't find anything about my Grandfather Earl.
