I noticed someone asked for Shannon photos. In the History of Giles Co.,there are a few, but not all the way back to Samuel & Jean. I have two photos, 1 Capt. Thomas Shannon home on Walker's Creek, & 2 the home on Poplar Hill just west of Thomas' on Walker's Creek. The home on Poplar Hill replaced the original that burned, and is still owned by descendants. At the time I visited, Lewis King & his brother lived there. We maintained correspondence until his death. Question; does anyone have any information on Granville Shannon & wife, Unity Williams? Photos? It seems that the name Granville may come into the line from the Billingsly line. His mother was Mary Billingsly.
