When I see Shannons in IN, with the names David and Alexander involved, plus a marriage between a Shannon and an Adams, all packaged together, I have to interject! I have a widow Nancy Shannon Bartlett, b. ca. 1828, daughter of an Alexander Shannon born ca. 1798, who moves to IN with her family in her childhood and who marries second a James Adams. She has both a brother (b. 1837 OH) and a son named David (b. 1869 IL). I've never been able to pin down my Alexander Shannon's origins, and it's interesting to me to find Alexanders and Shannons marrying--where did David and Nancy Alexander Shannon live? Is there anything in his will that might shed any light on my Shannons? Thanks. That's as far as I've gotten. Also found in same family cemetery, Charles Shannon1869-1922 (could this be another son of George M) and a Virgil R. Shannon 1906 - 1928. But tell me about Shannondale, which Shannon was it named for. Is it our group. What did they do for a living? I can't find anything about my Grandfather Earl.
