Aleatha Ellen Shelly Shannon, daughter of Sarah Strange Shelly and Jesse Shelly, born May 16th 1848 and died May 25th 1927 at Chattanooga, Tenn. at the home of her son Dick from a broken hip caused from a fall on stairs at A.A. Heyl's home, 585 South Burgess Ave. Columbis Ohio, April 30th 1927. She was taken by Dick in Jeff's Ambulance from Columbus Ohio to Chattanooga Tenn. on Mothers day, 1927. She was buried by the side of father in Anderson cemetary in Anderson Indiana May 29th 1927. She was the wife of the late Thos Shannon, born July 29, 1838, died March 9th 1868. Born to this union was Ben Frank, March 26, 1868, Richard Donald, April 14, 1870, Anna Feburary 4th 1872, died Dec. 1873. Jeff Cook July 15th 1874. Ben Frank has a daughter Ruth born 1892. Dick has a son Tom by Elizabeth Jones Shannon born Sept. 24, 1895. Daughter Mary and Son Frank born to Stella Baker Shannon. Mary born May 31, 1909. Frank born Sept. 5th 1911. Jeff married Katherine Lyle. Dick married the third time Dec. 14, 1919. --- I have the picture of Aleatha Shannon (no relation of mine) and would like to find a family for it.
