Mike, I don't think it is an issue of confusion. The Thomas that you refer to seems to have been unmarried. The issue is that a date and place is often cited for the marriage of Capt. Thomas Shannon and his cousin, Agnes Crow, yet so far, none of us has come up with the evidence for either the date or place. I think we have all gotten the information from Dedman's work, but don't know her evidence.
