Dorothy, as I understand it, there were several brothers who came to US. Thomas and Agnes(Eigness) Shannon settled in Lancaster Co. PA and everyone seems to have copies of their lineage and I have searched and searched but it does not include our Thomas Shannon b. ca 1720, lived his entire life in York/Adams Co. PA near Gettysburg, d, 1797 there with will proving. He bought land from the Penn family, patented in 1740 and passed it on to his son just before his death. Finally I was told that one of the brothers, Andrew, settled in York Co. and so I got Andrew's will, but no Thomas mentioned. It is probably that our Thomas is a grandson of the orig Andrew. Do you know anything about an Andrew Thomas, original settler in York Co. PA?
