I am new to this list and hope somebody recognizes this guy. I would like to know more about Marcellous SHANNON b. abt. 1833 in Indiana, died 1912 in St. Marys, Auglaize Co. OH. Marcellous married Susan(a) BODKIN in Auglaize Co., OH in 1861. It was Susan ’s second marriage, but I have not found any other marriage for Marcellous, or any kids. He was much younger than his wife. The 1870 census has Marcellous (age 37) in St. Marys Twp., Auglaize Co., OH with Susan (50) and Susan’s daughter. Susan and Marcellous are in the same spot in 1880, and this census says Marcellous’ parents were both born in Pennsylvania. He (b. IN Apr 1832) and wife Susan (b. NC Mar 1819) are still in the same place in 1900 and they’ve been joined by his brother Jacob SHANNON b. IN Jan 1843 (parents b. PA). Jacob was single and I have yet to find him on any other census. Three SHANNONs are buried at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys: Susan May 18, 1906 age 87, Marcellous Jun 10, 1912 age 80 and J. Dec 20, 1913. There are other SHANNONs in Auglaize Co., but I have not been able to determine what, if any, relationship exists. Geo. W. Shannon married in 1864, Joel married in 1870, Lewis in 1889. Elizabeth SHANNON b. PA died in 1875 age 54. Isaac W. died in 1887 age 72. Can anyone help with these guys? Thanks, Terry Bava
