Hi fellow listers, Our Shannon list is really going great! My gr-grandfather, William Shannon at 3 yrs of age and his Wesleyan Methodist father, Robert Shannon, came to Sunbury, Frontenac County, Ontario, Canada in 1820. First, I haven't been able to find them on any ship's list and second, he was listed as being born in County Down in the 1901 census and in County Cork in an earlier census. I'm trying to figure out why the difference - maybe one could have been his port of exit. I'd be really happy to hear from anyone related to the above family. In Canada they married McNEELY/McNEELEY'S, HODGSONS, MAKINS, and JAMES.
