    3. You are doing so well, can hardly believe your age. You are young in spirit and enterprise and that is what counts. I am 65 and just now, my friends are finally getting into the internet emailing, tho they do not do research. I checked the site and found hundreds of Shannons and found 16 Thomas Shannons, but none born about 1720-25. Mine made a patent to buy land from the Penn family in 1740 near Gettysburg. I presume he must have been at least 16 at the time, so his birth would have been between 1715 to 1725 and he would have been very young to have enough money to buy 300 acres. He died in 1797 in York Co. PA according to his will. He lived there all those years according to tax and inhabitant lists. So I don't know who he is or his parents or where he was born. So frustrating, but thanks for helping anyway.
