I am really enjoying this list and am astounded at how many Irishmen named Shannon came to America. My ancestor is Robert Shannon, a Wesleyan Methodist born about 1795 in County Cork. He and his family, including his son, William (aged 3), came to Canada in 1820 and settled in Storrington Township, Frontenac County (now part of Ontario). I am having very little luck in tracing their ancestors and am now looking for passenger lists for ships that sailed to Canada or northern US in the year 1820. Can anyone help me?
