Dear Margaret; That would be great! I don't know if I told you, but this Margaret died very young. She married Jesse Hardwick on Nov. 13, 1839, gave birth to my great-grandfather, William Henry, on May 20, 1841, and she died July 14, 1843. Needless to say, Jesse remarried and had a large family, but I've always felt sorry for this Margaret Shannon and wanted to know about her family. It doesn't say anywhere, but I imagine her death at such a young age had something to do with another pregnancy--they seemed to have kids every two years. My great-grandfather was quite a character and stayed very close with his half-brothers and sisters in later life. He was in the Civil War, Confederate Cavalry, and I have some of his letters. I'd really like to find his mother's family. Thanks, Mary [email protected] wrote: > > There has to be a connection here with John B.
