    3. That would be William Henry Hardwick; his mother was a Shannon. He served in Co. D., lst Battalion, Kentucky Mounted Rifles first year; then went to Tennessee and served about a year in Co. B, Tennessee Cavalry (Biffle's); then about a year in Co. A, 45 Regt. Virginia Infantry; fourth year he spent in prisoner of war camp, Camp Morton, Indiana. His Virginia unit was captured at Piedmont, Va. He was exchanged at Point Lookout, MD at end of the war.
