Good Morning Joyce, This is the Granville you read about. He is credited with introducing the "Shannon Pippin" apple. Unfortunately, they don't seem to grow it anymore. Granville is the son of Joseph and Mary Billingsly Shannon, grandson of Samuel & Jean, and gr-grandson of Thomas & Eigness. It appears the Billingslys connected into the family in Tenn., or Ky., and then migrated with the Shannons(or vice-versa) into Ark. Mike
