I have hit a brick wall in my search. I have traced my ancestry back to Samuel Shannon, Jr b. 2/17/1769 in PA (I wish I knew what County). He married Sarah Kennedy (Her father was Davenport Kennedy), on 8/8/1796 in Oglethorpe Co, Ga He left PA to settle in GA and had a key part in creating Franklin County, Ga. His name is on tons of court documents from Franklin County. His son, John Harvey Shannon was also affiliated with the court system, as his name is found on loads of court documents from Franklin County, Ga. In the Franklin County, GA 1850 census, he is found living with his son, Leonard Shannon, and stated that his birthplace was PA. PLEASE, if anyone can tie into this line, let me know, I have been searching for the past couple of years, and there are so many Samuel Shannons from Pa. I assume that Samuel Shannon, Sr was born prior to 1750 somewhere in PA. Someone has to know this line. Tamarra Barr
