I'm new to the SHANNON-L website, and would appreciate any information anyone has on my SHANNON bloodline. Mary Ellen SHANNON was my great grandmother. She was born on 28 Nov. 1844, possibly in Seneca Co., Ohio, died on 22 Jan 1913 near Tiffin, Seneca Co., Ohio, and married Jesse MILLER, who was born on 5 Sept. 1838 in New York State, and died in Tiffin on 1 Oct 1880. They had two sons Jesse and Logan. Her parents were George SHANNON and Anna Mary LUTZENHEISER. He was born on 12 Oct 1816 in Pa. and died on 10 June 1911 in Ohio. She was born on 11 Oct 1821 in Ohio, and died on 21 Jan 1900 also in Ohio. The above George SHANNON may have been the son of Thomas SHANNON and Casandra ANDERSON. He was born sometime between 1779 and 1802 and died on 16 March 1843. I understand Thomas was a well known figure in Ohio politics. Thomas SHANNON's parents were George David SHANNON and Jane MILLIGAN. He was born in 1758 in Ireland and died in 1803 in Warren Twp., Ohio. Jane was born between 1748 and 1776 and died in 1823. If any of this connects with anyone else's SHANNON line, I would appreciate the confirmation, and any other data or notes you may have on these individuals. Thanks again! Herb Vore
