He is the author of Research in Georgia and over 600 other publications which include twenty four books and also articles in such periodicals as The National Genealogical Society Quaneriy, Ancestry Newsletter, The American GeneaIogist, Heritage Quest, and The North Carolina Genealogical Society Journal. He is a recipient of the Award of Merit from the National Genealogical Society. Of the top five best sellers in Georgia genealogy, four are his books. He is also a member of the Alabama Historical Records Advisory Board.
