My great,great, great grandparents were; John Harding b. 1815 Ireland married Mary A. Doherty b. 1822 Ireland probably in Saint John, New Brunswick where they owned property and a business. They had 5 children Katherine, Mary, b. 1849, Elizabeth, william, Mathew. Mary married William John SHANNON in 1865 probably in Saint John (but family oral history says they eloped). They had 10 children eldest Mary was born in Saint John and the others in Ireland. Of the SHANNON family there descendants will be scattered between USA, CANADA, IRELAND, SCOTLAND AND ENGLAND.
