He is kin through Joseph's brother David.JOSEPH had at least four children that are known; Alexander who mrrd Perniza, Lavinia,Ann, and GRANVILLE Billingsly who mrrd Unity Williams.Granville & Unity's children were: John mrrd Mary Billingsly, George W., Mary Jane mrrd John Stewart Latta,Jos. F. who mrrd Amanda Weddington, Wm. Henry(died Chicka- mauga), ALEX(named for his Uncle) who mrrd Clara Viola Scott, Martha, Elmyra, Finis, Mark DeWitt who mrrd Sarah Garret, Samuel B.(died in gunfight at Brown- wood),Lillo B.(killed by his Mexican shepherd), Laura,and Maurice mrrd Mary Goddard. ALEX & Clara had: Clara mrrd Allison Templeton, Alex 3rd, Bettie mrrd Hudson P. Ellis, Laura mrrd Gen. I was under the impression that they were Presbyterians. There were some that were Shakers, and one Samuel is in that bunch, but I don't think it was Samuel & jean.
