Then Alexander and Roxanna; Daniel and Priscilla; Sarah and Alexander McMaster, my grandparents. Have you ever found any more info on Jane Dunlap? I'm trying to download some info now on my mom's side, but don't know if it's going to work. I have that sloooow dial-up, and it's a very large file. 2. Lorraine - do you have any further information about your husbands Shannon relative. I am very interested in Virginia Shannons. My Shannons were in Bucks County PA from about 1740 to near 1800. One or more of the brothers left after the revolutionary war. The Shannon I know most about left Bucks County about 1795 and moved to Huntingdon County PA. I have some indication that he stayed in Virginia for a while.

    3. Bunches of e-mails in my mailbox! I have been on the list but rarely receive anything. My ggg-gdfather was Zachariah Shannon born 1797 and wife Priscilla Skinner born 1800. Lived in Charles County Maryland. I recommend direct Shannon descendants participate in the DNA research (familytreedna.com) to sort some of the connections out (mine is posted there) (need a direct line shannon male descendant). There are also some groups that are helpful (cumberland gap etc.) I believe but have not proved that Zachariah had two brothers, Burton and James. He had two sons, Alexander and William both born in Charles County Maryland. Each have fairly developed sets of descendants. I hope that there is interest in making this an active list as I suspect we will find some connections if we are talking. Family history said her parents were killed and she was taken in by neighbors. I don't know when that happened or if was in Ky or Ohio. Thanks.
