Welthy Your e-mail of 13 November As I mentioned earlier George MILLER was married to Anna Mary LUTZENHEISER on 2 Jan 1840 in either Ohio or Pa. He was born on 12 Oct 1816 in Pa. and died on 10 June 1911 in Tiffin ?, Ohio. She was born on 11 Oct 1821 in Ohio, and died on 21 Jan 1900 also in Ohio. Anna Mary was the daughter of a David LUTZENHEISER and Catherina LONG. David was born in Westmoreland Co., Ohio in 1770 and died at Norton, Summit Co., Ohio on 10 Jan 1843. I have no marriage date or anything on Catherina. George and Anna Mary had a daughter, Mary Ellen, born on 28 Nov 1844 in Ohio, and who died on 22 Jan 1913 in Tiffin, Seneca Co., Ohio She married Jesse MILLER, who was born on 5 Sept 1838 at Adams Twp, Yates Co., N. Y. , who settled in Tiffin, Ohio, where he died on 1 Oct 1880. Jesse had two sons Logan and Jesse. Logan, my grandfather, was married to Bertha Belle SCHUBERT on 3 Nov 1901 in Tiffin. Both were born and died in Tiffin. The whole family were members of the Brethren (German Baptist Church). Hope this fits somewhere! Good hunting! Herb Vore

Kelley Shannon Odom I have a deadend at a George Shannon, that was born on 12 Oct 1816 in Pa., and died in Ohio on 10 June 1911. His wife's name was Anna Mary Lutzenheiser. Is there any connection? Herb Vore
Esther, Sorry it's taken me so long. I have my information in front of me. I don't have any passenger lists but just genealogy passed on to me. I have a Thomas Shannon that was born May 1793 in County Cork Ireland and died and buried in Canada Sept. 1857. He was married to Anny Young and their children consisted of William, Richard, Eliza, Thomas, John, Robert, James and George. The information on Robert I have is that he was born July 10, 1833 (doesn't say where) and died in Vasalia, Tulare County, California June 26, 1901 and he had a son named William. Is this anything you're looking for? I would also be interested in seeing what passenger lists you have. Let me know if this is the right track and I can send you a copy of what I have. I would need a mailing address as it's about 35 pages long. Also the info I have indicates these Shannons for the most part were Methodists, Masons and belonged to the Orange Order. Hope this is helpful. Kelley Shannon Odom Bodom60879@aol.com
The information I have is that Wilson Shannon's parents were George David and Jane Milligan Shannon and that his brother George F. and Ruth Snowden Price Shannon had a daughter Mary Jane Shannon. What year Samuel Shannon were you looking for? augustin@flinthills.com THE WORLD IS MADE UP OF FAMILY HISTORIES! Bev., I found the file I was looking for, but it wasn't on Wilson Shannon. Sorry. Mike
Great--I'm sure one of Wilson Shannons Aunts?Uncles is Mary Shannons parents--just can't seem to find out for sure. Bev.
Bev., Haynes Shannon is descended from Gov. Wilson Shannon, and I have some correspondence between he and my Gr-Grandfather Alexander May Shannon. I'll try to find it and get back to you. Mike
Received the info on Samuel Shannon/Mary Reid and there isn't any connection with Gov. Wilson Shannon or Mary Shanon in the Ohio area. Their different beliefs certainly wouldn't connect them. Thank you, Bev.
This Shannon... can you give his location? Hi All, If somebody could make a connection between the family of Samuel Shannon (and wife Jean Reid) and that of Ohio Governor Wilson Shannon it would blast down brick walls all over the place. Hope it happens. Welthy
Beverly, I'm copying your e-mail. I have a file somewhere on Wilson Shannon, when I find it I'll send you a copy. Mike Shannon John>John Jr>Robt>Thomas >Samuel m. Jean Reid>Joseph>Granville>Alexander> James>James Jr>Michael
Michael Could you please send me a copy of the will of Samuel Shannon that you are sending to Connie. I am searching for the father of Mary Shannon (1773-1843)--This just may be what I am looking for. This Mary Shannon married a Joseph McCune and then a Samuel Bigger. Governor of Ohio Wilson Shannon was a cousin of hers--still trying to connect that. Thank you, Beverly Bigger McCalla Bevmc34@aol.com
I would like a copy. Don Subject: Re: [SHANNON-L] Samuel Shannon > Connie, > I have a copy of Samuel's(Jean' s husband) will. Connie, I have a copy of Samuel's(Jean' s husband) will. It is so hard to read and small print, I just went with Louise Dedman's transcript. I don't know wjere you got the date of 1790. He made his will in 1808, and died in 1811. I'm going out to dinner now, but will e-mail you a transcript later. One thought on the 1790 will, they all use the same names, so it might be another Samuel. Michael Shannon
I received a copy of the will of Samuel Shannon of Davidson County, dated August 13? 1790. I cannot read most of it, the writing is so elaborate and hard to read. Is this the Samuel Shannon husband of Jean Reid who died in Davidson county in 1811? If so, has anyone been able to really read it?
