Just to let you know what is going on... if you are not interested just delete. :) Well, I finally made it to my cousins house after what turned into a 10 hour drive .... traffic was heavy with mandatory evacuations below I-10 so it took me hours literally to get through Tallahassee as traffic was stop and go 3 feet, stop etc. I got here tho... dogs and cat and all. If you ever want a fun experience, drive 500 miles with 3 whining dogs including a dalmation who has his head on your shoulder most of the way. They were pretty good tho considering. As of now, it looks bad for my house.... I am 3 miles from the Mississippi/Alabama line and that is right where it is headed. I have no idea if I will even have a house to go back to. I have the 3 dogs, the cat, their stuff, some clothes, my genealogy stuff (well, most of it, I left some of it by accident) and some family photos, my crocheting, my Mother's jewelry and grandmothers prayer books and my grandfathers fire department badge. That's it. At least I left tho as I suppose if worst comes to worst, I can always replace most of the other stuff... (oh Lordy, my grandmothers china...) I have good insurance. And I'm trying not to panic. My cousin here in Yankeetown just got power back 2 days ago after being hit by Charley and Frances, and Ivan's feeder bands are starting to hit here, so their house is still boarded up. I am a nervous wreck right now.. I don't know if it's worse being here and not knowing what is happening to my home, or going through it. Well, I do know... it's better I got out. Anyway... I can check email from my cousin's computer... so I will be in touch. Thank you for all your good thoughts... we can all use them as this is a bad one. Note to my dollhouse groups... please dont' send anything to my home address right now as I have absolutely no idea what the mail is like now, or for the near future.
