Mary Power's mother (my g.g.g.grandmother) has been indentified in records in Australia as Mary Harrell. She appears in the above records as Margaret Harrold and Margaret Harrow. I wish to identify any related Harrold/Harold/Harrell/Harrow individuals with family origins on the Carlow/Kilkenny border circa 1825. The only Harrold family I could find in the general area were living in nearby Leighlinbridge and Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow, in the time period circa 1825. I have identified the Power family living at Castle Hill before 1825, then at Baurnafea and Ballyfoyle, Co. Kilkenny. The Christian names, James, Nicholas, Michael, Richard and Thomas were used repeatedly over many generations in the Power family. Present day Power descendants retain property interests at Baurnafea and Gurtlug-Ballyfoyle. I would be pleased to have contact with any person who can add to my information.
