I have been told my grandfather was stationed in East Galway with the RIC. I have always assumed that this was just the eastern half of Galway. Am I right or is this a particular section of Co. Galway? Appreciate any help. Colleen

Hi Colleen Galway was a large county to police so it was divided into two parts by the RIC ... East and West. I don't know what the boundaries were but when I find out I'll post it to the list.
