Shanahans came from Clonmel, County Tipperary in the early 1860s. There was a married brother, John (b. 1840) came with Ed (b. 1842), Patt (b. 1845), and James (b. 1851) - my g-grandfather. Looking for brother, Mike (b. 1856) who might have immigrated to Muncie, Indiana. Married to Ida and they had 10 or more children. Another brother might have immigrated and settled in CA (maybe William b. 1848)
