Yup. Discussing the merits of different genealogy programs is off-topic indeed -- at least on this list. However... My suggestion: find a list that discusses genealogical (and other) software. Start here<http://lists.rootsweb.com/> and scroll down to the Other section. Once you choose one you can browse or search the archive and sign up if you want to. Other likely candidates are discussion groups in Usenet (use a news reader), Yahoo or other portal sites.
