Thomas REILEY - b. 1798/99 met Martha DAVIS - b. 1800 while serving as gardener to landed gentry. Legend says they eloped and she was ostracized by family for marrying beneath her. By April 1831 Martha & Thomas have twins Edward and Ellen in Morris County New Jersey. Eight other children follow over ten years.
