Hi Just subscribed to the list and would like to post my question. I have just found out that my great grandmother was from Galway, only that is about all the info I have. Her name was Margaret Cannon, daughter of Michael and Bridget Joyce Cannon, born circa 1855 or so. I know she had a brother Michael who was nine years older than she and that the they came to Boston in 1868. She married Patrick Higgins in 1874 and they had six children, Thomas 1875, Margaret 1878, Mary 1880, James 1882, Bridget 1885 and Edward 1887. She died in 1920 and he in 1911. Would anyone have any information on the Cannon family? Thanks so much for your help. Also is there a website for Galway? Maureen
