Hello Sue My husband [Frank] has an Irish connection, Joseph SHORTISS, who married Ann O'NEILL, 1888. Sponsors at baptism of Thomas Augustine,1893, were John and Agnes O'NEILL. At the baptism of Joseph Anthony 1901 John O'NEILL was again a sponsor. There are earlier NEILL and NEAL [? Clark's error]. Mary O'NEILL sponsor 1841. All these baptisms at St Mary's church in St Mary's Parish, Clonmel. There is a James SHORTIS and Mary CASEY parents of twins! Timeframe 1883. Same church, parish and in Clonmel.
