I am looking for any Kane or Kennedy's from the southwest part of Clare. Lisdeen is near Kilkee. There is a John Kane listed in the Griffiths Valuation of 1855 in Lisdeen does anyone know of that family? My gg grandmother was Bridget Kane Kennedy, I don't know her husband Kennedy's first name. They had four children Catherine, Lucy, Annie & Patrick. Catherine was born in 1859. I don't know when Bridget was born but she died in Chicago in Jan., 1891. Her father was an overseer (don't know if that's good or bad). Kennedy my gggrandfather bred horses and liked the horse races. I would love to hear about the area or talk to anyone from there.
